Curated by the Hartvest Project in collaboration with the Fiber Artists Miami Association (FAMA) (Threading the City) and hosted by Pinecrest Gardens, this exhibition marks the 100th anniversary of Surrealism, celebrating the remarkable contributions of women in art. Through contemporary textile art, we reimagine and honor women’s narratives, inviting artists to explore the magic and strangeness of beauty in the unconventional medium of fiber.
This exhibition seeks to amplify and reclaim these voices, highlighting their lasting impact on art. By merging diverse fiber techniques, we encourage artists to push the boundaries of fiber art, creating new connections between past and present, tradition and innovation.
