Past Symposia
The 2024 Textile Society of America Symposium theme “Shifts and Strands: Rethinking the Possibilities and Potentials of Textiles” invites one to reflect on the many exciting shifts in textiles as historical and contemporary, cultural, creative, scholarly, political, discursive, and scientific practices.
TSA Symposia are held in different locations around the US and Canada, allowing a broad number of participants to explore regional specialties. Some past venues have included Vancouver, Savannah, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC. Visit this page to read highlights of past symposia.
Proceedings
Proceedings are published approximately six months after each symposium. Through a partnership with the University of Lincoln, Nebraska, they are available through online open access Digital Commons.
