Membership Fees
As of December 2020, TSA offers a sliding scale membership fee. By reducing barriers to entry, we seek to expand our membership and make participation accessible to a larger audience. We recognize that it is in the union of disparate disciplines and voices where we find possibilities.
When you join or renew, you may select from the following one-year membership fees:
$15 / $40 / $80 / $140
You may select the membership rate that is most appropriate for your financial circumstances, without having to demonstrate need or qualification. All membership fee levels receive the same benefits and access.
Your membership provides vital support to the organization. Without your ongoing participation, TSA could not carry out its mission to provide an international forum for the exchange and dissemination of textile knowledge from artistic, cultural, economic, historical, political, social, and technical perspectives.
We encourage members to use the auto-renewal feature in order to provide TSA with consistent support throughout our symposium cycle. Our membership system will securely store your payment information, and alert you via email when a renewal charge is coming.

The Textile Society of America (TSA) is an international community committed to anti-racism, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and a culture of care. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all members and participants across TSA programs, events, publications, and online spaces. By participating in TSA, members agree to uphold the following principles:
Respect and Care
Engage with others in ways that are respectful, thoughtful, and supportive. TSA values curiosity, learning, and exchange, and expects members to contribute to a welcoming environment for all.
Equity and Anti-Racism
TSA is committed to addressing systemic inequities within the textile field. Members must respect differences of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, age, religion, language, and socioeconomic background, and refrain from discriminatory or harmful behavior.
Inclusive Dialogue
TSA values the plurality of textile histories, practices, and perspectives. Members are encouraged to engage in open, respectful dialogue, even when viewpoints differ, and to honor lived experience and cultural context.
Ethical Knowledge Sharing
Share knowledge responsibly by acknowledging sources, respecting cultural origins, and engaging ethically with traditional, Indigenous, and community-based textile practices.
Professional Conduct
All interactions within TSA spaces should be collegial and constructive. Harassment, intimidation, personal attacks, or disruptive behavior are not tolerated, whether in person or online.
Language and Accessibility
Members are encouraged to be mindful of language, cultural differences, and accessibility needs, and to support inclusive participation whenever possible.
Accountability
TSA may take action in response to behavior that violates this Code, including mediation, removal from programs or platforms, or suspension or termination of membership.
Our Shared Responsibility
This Code of Conduct exists to ensure TSA remains a respectful, inclusive, and intellectually vibrant space. Upholding these principles is a shared responsibility and essential to the health of our community.
