Participants will learn how to crochet small shapes inspired by Turkish oya. Historically, the Turkish oya (lace-edgings on headdresses) serves as a secret language between women to express personal sentiments and influences Ekinci’s vibrant crochet frames. Using our own experiences, together, will come up with meaningful objects for us and learn how to turn them into colorful crocheted shapes.
