A solo exhibition about transitions, the strangeness of being a stranger, and the search for belonging. Warp painted woven panels are installed in an immersive environment of suspended paintings, shifting water, and comfort of familiarity of being surrounded by textiles.
Hanging from the ceiling and approachable from all sides, they move gently with air currents so that viewers navigate the work as though submerged.
On the surrounding walls, portrait diptychs depict characters wearing bathing caps and goggles, simultaneously humorous, vulnerable, and slightly alien.
