Nominations are now open for the 2025 R.L. Shep Memorial Book Award!

TSA is honored to open nominations for this annual award, which recognizes the best book published in 2024 in the field of global cultural heritage textile studies.

Established in 2000 through an endowment by Robert Lee Shep, the award carries a $1,000 prize and celebrates exceptional scholarship that deepens our understanding of textile traditions, cultural practices, and ancestral knowledge.

Nominations are due May 15, 2025, at midnight EDT.
