The largest, longest running (founded in 1972) survey of world production of contemporary fiber art is held every three years in Poland. About 150 recent works of fiber art by artists resident of more than 50 countries including five American members of Friends of Fiber Art –Jill Nordfors Clark, Judith Content, Susan Iverson, Kathy Weaver and Wendy Weiss–are shown and documented in a bi-lingual (Polish and English) full-color printed catalog. Prizes are awarded by an international jury that this year includes Bruce Pepich of the Racine Art Museum. Contact Karen Ziemba of Friends of Fiber Art International, 708.710.0644 or email:friendsoffiberart@gmail.com to learn more about visiting Poland for this exhibition and the numerous other textile shows throughout the city, http://www.friendsoffiberart.org/when.php.
