Municipal Bonds is pleased to present Counterpoint, a group exhibition joining together artists Crystal Gregory, Sarah Koik, Yvonne Mouser, Tiersa Nureyev, Blaise Rosenthal, and Michelle Yi Martin.
Interacting in unity and contrast, the exhibition features two- and three-dimensional abstract works with an underpinning of analog material intelligence. Acrylic, brass, ceramic, charcoal, concrete, copper, earth pigments, fiber, horsehair, paper, pastel, sand, silk, wood—each work holds personal or historical remembrance, and tethers concept with experimentation and structure. Together they create a dialogue of construct, amplifying relationships between medium and process, shape and story.
