Proyecto H hosting KIRKI
with Nia Hefe Filiogianni & George Petsikopoulos
On the occasion of Condo CDMX 2024, Proyecto H is pleased to invite KIRKI, a gallery based in Greece, to present an exhibition of textile work by artists Nia Hefe Filiogianni and George Petsikopoulos.
This will be the artists’ first presentation in Mexico with the exhibition ‘Interwoven/Entretejidos’. The exhibition is guided by Hefe Filiogianni and Petsikopoulos’ deep commitment to semiotic research and sustainability in art creation. Although their work has different focuses, Hefe Filiogianni and Petsikopoulos find common ground in their exploration of Greek culture. Both artists use textiles to make subtle and specific gestures that use language, semantics and symbolism to nod to the complex social tensions underlying Greek reality and recent history, allowing viewers to unravel hidden layers of meaning.
