Attention all soon-to-be, new, and recent-ish graduates and school-eschewing professionals, we want to hear about your work in the field of textiles!
TSA is hosting a colloquium this fall which will feature the work of new and emerging members. Do you have a studio project or research idea you’d like to present at the colloquium?
The Lab is an online space for artists, curators, writers, learners, educators, textile-curious folx, and others to connect across geographic borders and talk textiles. Attendees are encouraged to participate by starting their own conversation. In a 1-2-min. pitch, participants can address creative projects, techniques and discoveries, research, seek feedback and brainstorm, discuss new ideas, or ask questions about conferences or other scholarship preparation.
For one hour on July 14th at 9:30am PST/12:30pm EST/5:30pm BST, the Lab will be holding space for folx to practice pitching an inspired/inspiring idea, in 2 min. or less, for the upcoming TSA colloquium around the theme, “(re)Imagining Futures: Shifting Methodologies.”
Not sure how your idea ties into the theme? Come pitch anyway! Collective textile minds specialize in weaving things together! We’ll find the through line!
Still intimidated? Sign up for mentorship to talk through your pitch ahead of the meeting.
