On Saturday, September 9, from 10 am to noon, fiber artist and juror Judith Content will lead a TAC tour of the 11th Biennial International Fiber Art exhibition at Sebastopol Center for the Arts (SEBARTS). Co-sponsored by SEBARTS and Surface Design Association, this show presents a distinct approach to innovative and traditional fiber techniques as well as contemporary concepts for the use of traditional and unusual materials. It highlights the many facets of 2-D and 3-D fiber art, including wearable and installation art. Textile artist and author of books on dyeing Ann Johnston was the co-juror.
This internationally acclaimed exhibition attracted 470 entries from France, Japan, Mauritius, England, Canada and 27 states. 61 pieces were selected.
Participation is limited to 20 individuals.
