Calling all emerging textile artists, researchers, curators, makers!
The next Lab gathering is on Friday Oct. 6th at 9:30am PT/12:30pm ET/5:30pm BT via Zoom.
Do you want a chance to share your current research or studio project at the upcoming TSA colloquium, (re)Imagining Futures: Shifting Methodologies on October 30th? Attendees at the Lab gathering will co-lab-oratively jury and choose three five-minute presentations that align with the colloquium’s theme.
Presentations will be evaluated based on clarity, approaches to collaborative art making, and/or demonstration of research that is a catalyst for change in the textile community and helps reimagine an anti-racist, equitable, and accessible future for TSA.
The deadline for slide submissions was September 29.
You do not need to present to come to this event, if you do not plan on presenting, please register for the event by October 5th.
The first SEVEN folks to submit their slides will present at the Lab gathering and have a chance to present at the colloquium! If you submit a presentation after we’ve already received seven submissions, we will work to guarantee you a spot at a future Lab gathering.
Voting will happen on Zoom via poll and presenters/attendees will be notified shortly after the end of the meeting which presentations were selected, and they will be informed of next steps.
You must be present for the entire Lab gathering to vote. Even if you are not presenting, please RSVP to attend the Lab by Oct. 5th.
You do not need to be a member to attend or present at the Lab.
