The Victorian Age: 1819–1901

This is the Call For Papers deadline for article submissions for the special themed issue of The Journal of Dress History, the academic publication of The Association of Dress Historians. Articles are welcome for this special themed issue on the topic of The Victorian Age: A History of Dress, Textiles, and Accessories, 1819–1901. Topics of potential articles include any aspect of dress, textiles, and accessories for womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear of any culture or region of the world during the lifetime of Queen Victoria, 1819–1901. (Articles outside this theme can be submitted to journal@dresshistorians.org any day during the year.) Articles must be between 4000 words (minimum) and 6000 words (maximum), which includes footnotes but excludes the required 120–word (maximum) abstract, five (minimum) images with references, the tiered bibliography (that separates Primary Sources, Secondary Sources, Internet Sources, et cetera), and 120–word (maximum) author’s biography.
