Theatre Volunteer Opportunity – Puppetry & Production Experience
Are you interested in theatre, performance art, or learning about puppetry?
Theatre Designer and Fabricator, Allison Morones is theatre professional with over ten years of teaching experience. Currently a fibers graduate student at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, she is seeking volunteers to assist with an upcoming MFA Thesis Exhibition production.
Looking for anyone interested in:
- Operating puppets
- Serving on backstage crew
This is a wonderful opportunity to gain hands-on production experience, collaborate with a working theatre professional, and be part of a fully realized performance. No puppetry experience is required! Volunteers will be taught the mechanics of puppeteering and become an active part of the show.
Locations:
- Rehearsal Space: 458 State Rd, North Dartmouth
- Tech Week and Performances: Main campus of UMass Dartmouth, 285 Old Westport Rd, Dartmouth
Time Commitment:
- March 30–April 3: Flexible rehearsals around your schedule
- April 6–10: Tech Week & Show
- Mon 4/6: Load In 4-7pm
- Tues 4/7: 6:30-8:30 pm
- Wed 4/8: 6:30-8:30 pm
- Thurs 4/9: 6:30-8:30 pm
- Performances: Fri April 10 at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM
- Call time for crew on Fri, April 10: 3pm-8pm
Dinner will be provided for tech week and performances.
