Job Overview: The Education Department at the CTTC encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that fulfill the mission of the Education Department to “provide an interactive space between weavers and the public through programs, investigations, and publications that promote the revaluation of ancestral textiles.” The Education Department Supervisor works closely with the Community Development Supervisor as well as with the Director of the CTTC to plan, organize and realize activities both for the weavers as well as for the general public. (Activities in the past have included: classes, workshops, training, weaving competitions, conferences, and much more). Besides daily responsibilities, this position is important to the overall administration of the CTTC by providing guidance and giving critical input as needed. The Education Department Supervisor has a range of flexibility and authority; the success of the position depends greatly on the enthusiasm, creativity, and organizational skills that applicants bring to the position. Must speak and write Spanish and English.
