Following the retirement of our long-serving director, Barbara Heller, the American Tapestry Alliance (ATA) is seeking a passionate leader to champion our mission of promoting tapestry weaving and exploring the infinite possibilities of the medium.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with a dedicated board and build lasting relationships across the arts community.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit instructors for in-person and online workshops.
- Collaborate with the board to select Ambassador Speakers.
- Partner with ATA staff to plan and execute Tapestry Week—a exclusive, week-long series of events for members held each March.
- Direct ATA’s mentoring program and oversee additional educational resources.
