The Craftsmanship Initiative is a not-for-profit organization established in 2015 to reclaim craftsmanship’s principles of excellence, beauty, and durability as a pathway to a more sustainable world. The flagship venture of the initiative is Craftsmanship Quarterly, an online, multimedia publication that focuses on master artisans and innovators whose work informs our quest. The magazine, including our extensive archive library, is available to everyone—free of charge and free of ads.
As a gift to our growing Craftsmanship community, and to promote #shophandmade for the holidays (a value close to our hearts), we invite you to submit your work for our Holiday Artisan Spotlight. Those chosen will be featured on all of our primary social media channels: Instagram; Twitter; and, most prominently, on Facebook, where we have more than 120,000 followers. We will run as many of these spotlight posts as we can throughout the holiday shopping season.
We are offering this opportunity free of charge to artisans who 1) are listed in our free online Artisans’ Directory; and 2) subscribe to our free weekly newsletter. So if you haven’t yet done so, please join us now:
How to submit: Once you’re a member of our Directory and a subscriber to our newsletter, simply complete the Submission Form below and send us 1 to 5 of your best images, along with a link to your website or any other public page (Facebook, Etsy, etc.). We’ll do the rest!
Please note: All artisans and mediums are welcome, but the featured work MUST be your own, and it must be handmade. If you teach maker workshops or classes and would like to promote your services, you are welcome to do so, as long as you submit only one entry per person or organization. We do have limited slots available, so if you’d like to be considered, please submit your listing ASAP.
Thank you for being part of our Craftsmanship community — we’re excited to help you promote your work!
