Byrdcliffe Artist Residencies offer uninterrupted time and space for makers and provides a loom on site for weaving residents. Our serene mountain community is 2.5 hours north of NYC in Woodstock NY with residencies open to individuals, teams, and couples at all stages of their career. Byrdcliffe’s AiR program is particularly beneficial to those who find it restorative to live in a community environment surrounded by natural beauty. Artists are invited to participate in optional programming such as open studios, wellness workshops, studio visits, field trips, and communal dinners, or are free to work in solitude during their entire stay.
5 Month Residents live in one of Byrdcliffe’s eight private cabins as an autonomous live/work space. Each cottage varies in its size and structure and is able to accommodate 1-2 people or couples. Individuals, couples, and collaborative and non-collaborative artist teams are encouraged to apply. Byrdcliffe unfortunately is unable to accommodate children at this time.
