Description
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in woven, non-woven and surface design fiber-based studio courses and foundation 2D design as needed. Provide students with an overview of fabric/fiber historical and contemporary traditions as they relate to design assignments. Maintain fabric design studio. Participate in curricular development of the BA/ BFA program.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold the M.F.A. in Fabric Design and/or Fibers. Commitment to excellence in teaching and to fiber arts as evidenced in professional and student work. Establish and maintain an international and national exhibition record based on creative research. Participate in relevant professional activities. Provide service to the department, college, university and community. College/university teaching experience beyond TA desired.
