The School of Art and Design at East Carolina University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in textiles, beginning August 2019. This position will teach undergraduate and graduate students in the textile design concentration of the multidisciplinary BFA in Art and MFA in Art. This position will teach a variety of courses ranging from introductory textile design studios to senior seminar courses, as well as mentor graduate student thesis projects. School of Art and Design faculty teach 3 three-credit courses per semester. This position will work collaboratively with textile design faculty to expand the vision of the textiles program, including the exploration and advancement of innovative textile practices. Additional responsibilities include curriculum development, participating in recruitment for undergraduate and graduate students, engaging in service to the textile design concentration, School, College, University, community, and profession, and collaborating with other art faculty on curriculum and beyond.
