The Department of Art and Design invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Fashion Merchandising. The ideal candidate will have a primary scholarly focus and expertise in supply chain and sustainability with a global perspective in terms of production and waste. They will also possess a secondary skill area compatible with program needs, including design, fashion marketing, fashion show production and retail math.
The ideal faculty candidate will teach in areas of Merchandising and Design (potential courses include: ARTX 220 Textile and Apparel Colloquium, ARTX 298 Textiles, ARTX 310 Fashion Retailing Mathematics, and ARTX 325 Fashion Marketing and ARTX 400 Fashion Show Promotion); maintain an active scholarship agenda in an area of fashion; participate in curricula and new course development; represent the department at recruiting events on and off campus; and provide service to the department, the College of the Arts, the University and the professional field as appropriate.
