Upcoming sessions:
Would you like to present your work at the 2024 TSA Symposium? The portal to submit your proposal for the upcoming November 2024 symposium, “Shifts and Strands: Rethinking the Possibilities and Potentials of Textiles” is opening soon!
Are you interested in submitting a proposal as part of the Call for Participation but are not sure where to begin? Come to one of these sessions where we’ll break down the CFP process and talk you through what you’ll need to submit once the submission portal opens!
Sessions, which will be hosted by a TSA Board member involved in Symposium planning. The sessions are designed to help demystify the submission and review process, including proposals, abstracts, and other details. Sessions will provide an opportunity to ask questions and hear more information in a highly informal virtual meeting. First-time Symposium participants are especially welcome, as are emerging researchers and practitioners, artisans, artists, scholars, scientists, students, and those without formal training or education. All are welcome and you do not have to be a TSA member to attend. Auto-captioning will be provided. TSA is offering two sessions to accommodate different global time zones; please register for one session only:
Monday, February 26th, 9am-10am CST

Tuesday, February 27th, 8pm-9pm CST

If you can’t make it to these sessions, there will be more opportunities in March for individual and group feedback on your symposium proposals. These information and mentorship sessions are open to first time Symposium applicants, students and emerging professionals, those new to the discipline of textiles, and anyone else who desires input and support in developing their ideas and proposals and/or support with the proposal guidelines and process.
