The Textile Society of America is seeking members to serve on the Nominations and Elections Committee beginning in January 2026. This committee plays a vital role in shaping TSA’s leadership by overseeing the nominations and elections process for our Board of Directors.
The Nominations and Elections Committee is composed of five members: one Board Officer, one Director at Large, and three TSA members who are not currently serving on the Board. The committee will be appointed later this Fall and serves a two-year term. The Committee Chair, who must be a Board Officer or Director at Large, is appointed by the Board of Directors.
Committee members are responsible for issuing the call for Board nominations, reviewing and evaluating submitted nominations, developing a slate of candidates, coordinating ballot distribution and voting, and announcing election results. Members also update nomination materials and related documentation in the Board Handbook following each election cycle. Most of the committee’s work takes place from January through July of even-numbered years, requiring a meaningful but manageable time commitment.
Serving on this committee is a unique opportunity to support transparent and equitable elections, help shape TSA’s future leadership, and ensure that our Board reflects the breadth and diversity of our global textile community.
