Textiles Close Up is an exciting new series of study-workshops that provides opportunities to examine first hand, textiles in leading museum and private collections , guided by renowned experts. Workshops focus on the exploration of the materials, techniques, styles, culture and history of selected textile traditions, that vary for each event. The format offers first-hand, close up viewing of the textiles in the storerooms, laboratories and study rooms of the various institutions offering unprecedented access and learning opportunities.
Through the generosity of the Teitelbaum Family Foundation, The Textiles Close Up program provides a fee waiver for one TSA member to participate in each event. Applications are available when registration opens for each program. These scholarships are reserved for members who would otherwise be unable to attend.
